I'm not going to beat around the bush, COSRX Blackhead Power Essence is amazing. This product has made the biggest contribution to my fight against sebaceous filaments.
I had previously tried a BHA in the form of Stridex pads (the Red Box). They're cheap and have 2% Salicylic Acid, which seems like a good deal. I don't suffer from acne, besides the occasional big ol' zit; however, I do have problems with sebaceous filaments and blackheads. Stridex didn't work for me, as it was far too drying. I took it slow and tried to work up, but I could only use them once a week or so, or else my skin was angry, red and flaky. Meanwhile, I wasn't reaping any benefits. Eventually, I gave up on trying to use them and just let my skin rest.
The key difference, is due to certain regulations, salicylic acid isn't used in products manufactured in Korea. Instead, Korean products typically use Betaine Salicylate. It is supposedly more mild, but I find it works for me. Also, fret not, this product is at the right pH for exfoliation!

After seeing the rave reviews on the Blackhead Power Essence, I finally ordered it. After a huge delay in customs, I got it and introduced it into my routine. My skin responded to it immediately, and I have been using it for a month or so, every day (except when I fell ill and I barely washed my face).
The change in my skin's texture is great! It has made my skin incredibly smooth and is working on reducing the appearance of pores. My skin looks so smooth and it is creating a great glow. I haven't had any purging due to it and my skin is not dried out. I was able to quickly work up to using this every day without feeling dried out. In fact, during the wait time after applying the product, my skin feels moisturized. While not as cheap as the Stridex pads, this is a large bottle and is fairly cheap.
