Using this lipstick takes a bit of practice so that your gradient comes out correctly.
First, apply to your bottom lip, making sure the pink part is on the bottom and the red part is on the top.
Second, apply it across your top lip. I like to work from the middle outwards to keep the top lip defined. IMPORTANT Make sure that you flip the lipstick appropriately so that the red is now on the bottom and the pink is on the top.
Finally, lightly pucker your lips together so that you blend the gradient. If you want it to blend more, you can use your finger to pat lightly. Also, if you missed any spots, you can use only one part of the bar.
I really like this two tone lip bar and the subtle gradient look it gives. Both of the colors are really bright and bold. As you can see, the red is supposed to go in the middle of your lips with the pink being on the outer edges.
With a little practice it is easy to apply and it makes for a really bright lip. The gradient works well with these colors and I find it blends enough just by pressing my lips together. Sometimes I go in with the red to define the middle a little bit more, but otherwise, it comes out easy enough on its own. The gradient is pretty subtle and from far away, not very noticeable.
The texture is really nice and it doesn't dry out my lips. It is very creamy and very opaque. This color is called Daring Darling and it is very daring indeed! The colors are a bright, orange based red and a bright pink fuchsia. They are very bright and summery, so if you're not a fan of bright colors, avoid!
On the top of this swatch is one swipe and the bottom is three swipes. It is fully opaque with three.
Additionally, this color is very long lasting. This is my hand after washing the lipstick off with soap and water. You can see, there is still some color left behind.
Finally, be careful with the case. It has a little lever to push the product up for use, and you have to remember to push it back down again so you don't hit the product with the cap!
I love this color and I like the application. There is a learning curve but overall, this product is worth trying.
I bought mine from Jolse!
