Yes, this product is made out of horse oil. For many Americans, that is a difficult concept to deal with. However, horse is a common meat product in many other countries and the oil used in this cream is a byproduct of that process. Therefore, you can at least feel reassured that the horse is not being killed just to make skincare products.
Now, to how I feel about this product. I really like this moisturizing cream. I can compare the consistency to Ladykin Dark Vanpir Repair Cream, as both are very thick creams. However, this cream feels more emollient. When you rub it into your skin, it absorbs quickly, as it is more oil heavy than the Ladykin product. Personally, I prefer this cream to the Ladykin cream, because it provides more moisture and sinks in quicker.
It provides a lot of moisture and it works fine for my combo skin, although I feel it might be too moisturizing for oily skinned people. I find this product to be so moisturizing, that I wake up the next morning with extremely plump and soft skin. I have not had any reactions or breakouts with this product, although I alternate it with the Enprani Bounce Cheese Cream.
The packaging is very nice, with a glass jar and a metal lid, and it comes with a spatula that has its own slot. Supposedly there are issues with fakes of this cream so be careful to buy from a reputable seller.
I bought mine from Memebox.
