Daiso Silicone Moisturizing Mask for Sheet Masks Review

Sheet masks are great for that Hannibal Lector chic look. Of course, I want to take it to the next level so I bought the Daiso Silicone Moisturizing Mask for Sheet Masks!

Yes, that is a silicone mask over a sheet mask. Stunning, I know. I bought this since sheet masks generally slip around enough that I pretty much lay in bed while wearing them and figured this would prompt me to sheet mask more often while doing my homework or the dishes. Practical things like that.

I, unfortunately, don't live near a Daiso, so I picked this baby up on Amazon Prime. It cost about $7.

Now it does keep the sheet mask in place so I'm able to pour over my textbooks or lean over the dishwasher with ease. It feels odd to wear and I am definitely going to read the instructions a bit closer to see if I can do something about the ear loops. My ears must be wonky because they feel tight around them. I did cut them, as they recommend you do, and that helped a lot. Otherwise the eye area/mouth area fits.

I did get some drips from the bottom of the mask, but not as bad as I have without the silicone mask. You can slide it around over your sheet mask to adjust.

I left the mask on for 30 minutes and it was still very wet. The products I put on my skin before using the mask were COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid, Missha First Treatment Essence and Hada Labo Gokujyn Lotion. After I took the mask off, the liquid absorbed/evaporated fairly quickly and my skin now feels soft and smooth.

Overall, is it worth $7? If you have it to blow, sure. I haven't used it over my bare face as the instructions suggest you do while taking a bath. I don't have a bath, and I feel like it would just be sweaty. But who knows, maybe one day?

(P.S. For this picture, I used it with a My Beauty Diary Collagen Sheet Mask)
