Haus of Gloi Yule 2014- Eggnogin' Review

"The Haus 'nog! Cream, sugar and a shot of dark rum topped with nutmeg," are the notes that scream Christmas time in this limited edition blend from Haus of Gloi's Yule Release.

Thanks to having a bevy of lotions and scrubs to use up, I decided to sit out Haus of Gloi's 2014 Yule Release. That and it is the season of giving, not spending tons of money on lotion for yourself. Even though you want to.

However, there was some Yule stock kicking around when I made my Valentine's day order. (The perk of being single is no gifts to buy, thus money to spend on yourself!) I had received a sample of Eggnogin' a while back, saw it was on sale, and promptly threw a Whipped Soap and Pumpkin Butter into my shopping cart. 

I have never tried a Whipped Soap before, and let me tell you, I'm now addicted. I just love the texture of it. It is like really stiff and thick frosting soap. I use it with a loofa to really suds it up or I  just rub it on with my hands. Either way, I love the feeling of it. Plus it smells really good. 

Size: 6 oz jars, whipped soap is 3 oz by volume

Eggnogin' smells like boozy nutmeg. Personally, I'm not a fan of drinking eggnog. I find it tastes like bubblegum. I'm pretty sure that's the nutmeg. That's what this smells like. Nutmeg and rum. It is definitely gourmand. To me, it smells authentic. Maybe my family is a bit heavy on the rum and nutmeg... my gram certainly is. This isn't a scent I see myself buying again and again, or in all of its forms, but for a shower treat and some lotion, it works great.
