So I've rubbed snail filtrate and bee venom all over my face. Let's step up the animal byproducts to the big guns. Starfish. Fair warning to anyone sensitive to animals. While no snails or bees are actually used in those products, starfish body parts are indeed used in Mizon Returning Starfish Cream. I like to imagine that they just remove one limb at a time, and let them regenerate, but I don't think that's the case.
So if you find that a bit disturbing, I recommend you skip this product. If you're on the fence, it might help to know that the starfish used in this product are considered a pest and their populations need to be "thinned out" to keep them from overrunning the ecosystem.
"You want to rub me on your face?"
Starfish do have the ability to regenerate. Mizon claims that due to their high calcium and collagen composition, they make an ideal ingredient for skin firming.
Price: $21
Size: 60 mL
Scent: This has a light perfume scent that dissipates quickly. It is hardly noticeable.
Packaging: A really cute metal tin. Comes with a spatula.
Texture:
Mizon Returning Starfish Cream is so interesting due to the texture. It is a cream, but it has this memory foam quality where it reverts back to its undisturbed state. So once you scoop some out, the rest will even out so it has the same glassy smooth surface every time. It is like a regenerative Jello.

I use this as my cream, or sometimes over another cream if I really want a moisture bomb. Honestly, I prefer layering this on last, as I feel it really helps seal in my other products. The texture allows this product to sink into your skin quickly and leaves you well moisturized. I don't think it is heavy and I don't find any increased oil production due to this product.
It really helps your skin to feel moisturized and plump. It brightens up my skin and really helps it look nicer the next morning. I like how it isn't too thick, but still feels substantial. I am almost done with this tin and I will probably repurchase.
I bought mine on Amazon. It also comes in and out of stock on Roseroseshop where it qualifies for free shipping!
