Benton has taken the Asian Beauty world by storm and is often recommended but often derided. First, Benton had a whole fiasco where some people had issues with contaminated batches. This certainly scared me off from using the product. However, I finally bit the bullet and decided to see if the snaily/bee venomy goodness would work for me.
I've been using the product since October 2014, and I'm about to finish my bottle. I haven't been terribly consistent with my routine lately, but I generally use the Benton Essence.
Size: 60 mL
Price: Average
Packaging: Pump (Love)
(Old bottle on left, new back up package on right)
Scent: A lot of people say this doesn't have a smell. I find it does have an earthy/metallic smell that isn't the most pleasant, and goes away pretty quickly.
Texture: Watery and thin
(A pump of essence)
(Smoothed out)
For me, this really helps with keeping my skin at bay. I rarely get pimples when using this and if I do, they don't get very big and go away quickly. Overall, it makes my skin calm and smooth. It isn't very hydrating. In fact, my mom, who is 50, tried this and found it made small fine lines. We attribute this to the Willow Bark extract, that is a type of BHA. She doesn't use BHA and starting this up might have dried her out.
However, I really like it for my skin type and find it to be good for keeping it out of trouble. I like it so much, I was thrilled when I got my backup from a Memebox.
