Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream Review

Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream
Combining the powers of snail and bee venom to create an ultra moisturizing cream. Can this product compare to the treasured Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence?

"For all skin types, including sensitive and troubled ones. The product will help you to maintain healthy and moisturized skin by using steaming method to cure your rough and damaged skin from various stresses and pollution. Instead of water, the cream uses Snail Secretion Filtrate, Bee Venom, and EGF as the main components, with other vegetable cosmetic ingredients to perform trouble skin care, moisture supply and skin tone improvement."

Price: ~$18
Size: 50 mL
Texture: Thick cream
Scent: Just like the Benton Essence, this has a dirty/earthy metallic smell. It is pungent at first but dissipates quickly.

I apply this after using my emulsion as my heavy duty moisturizer.
I really like Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence so I was really excited to receive the cream in a Memebox. I figured what I liked about the essence would translate to the cream. However, this cream didn't wow me and I don't think I would repurchase it.

This cream seems really nice. I like the fact that it comes in a tube. The smell is not that much of a con, although it is gross at first. The ingredients seem rad, as do most Benton products. I'm just not in love.

While this cream does seem extra moisturizing, it doesn't quite sink into my skin. I apply it and it feels as if it sits on top of my skin, rather than penetrating the top layer. In fact, my skin almost feels tacky or sticky, even after an hour of applying this. I don't know if it is not right for my skin type, but I just don't like the tacky feeling it leaves behind.

Also, compared with other creams I have used and enjoyed, including Mizon Returning Starfish and Ladykin Dark Vanpir, this cream just doesn't make my skin as soft. Perhaps if I had not used and enjoyed those other creams so much, I would have liked this more.

Finally, this cream has many of the same ingredients as the Essence, so I don't notice a tremendous difference in my skin after using this cream. Maybe they are too similar that I have passed the point where any additional amount of snails or bee venom just doesn't do anything.

I received mine in a Memebox. Here it is available on BeautynetKorea
