I apply this as the last step of my skincare routine before applying my makeup.
The first Japanese sunscreens I have tried are the Sunkiller Perfect Water Essence and Perfect Water Cool. Both perform similarly, the difference being with the Perfect Water Cool, your face feels cool due to some chemical presence, like applying menthol.
I chose this sunscreen as I am interested in sunscreens that have high SPF and PA ratings so I am protected from both UVA and UVB rays. These sunscreens have some of the best levels of protection, with SPF 50+ and PA ++++. These are chemical based sunscreens.
This sunscreen goes on smoothly and I find it sinks into the skin very quickly. It doesn't feel sticky, but rather leaves your skin feeling moisturized. I usually don't apply any moisturizer underneath it and find it sufficiently moisturizing for my skin type.
What I really like about this sunscreen is that it doesn't leave any white case on my skin. To give you an idea of my skin color, I wear Missha Perfect Cover in 23 and I find this sunscreen doesn't make me look pale or ghostly.
This product imparts a certain degree of shininess. It does not go on matte. It doesn't leave you looking like an oil slick and generally I cover up any shininess with my BB cream or some translucent powder. I would say the third picture is very accurate to how the sunscreen looks on the skin.
This sunscreen provides good daily protection, but I wouldn't rely on it if I were taking part in sports or swimming, as it is not waterproof. I wear it while I go on walks and I do sweat, but I would not use it as a sports sunblock because it is not sweat resistant.
This product has not caused my skin any grievances, such as blemishes. I remove it every night using a double cleanse and have not had any problems.
I purchased my bottle on Sasa; however, it is not currently for sale so I cannot provide a link. It is available on Ebay, Amazon and Rakuten. These links are for illustrative purposes. Prices and shipping vary, and I cannot vouch for any of these sellers personally.
